Join our volunteer Teaching Project in Sri Lanka and help disadvantaged students improve their English conversation skills. As a volunteer, you’ll encourage children to practice speaking with you, helping them build confidence and learn to express themselves in English. This is a wonderful way to gain practical classroom experience, boost your resume, and make a positive impact at the same time.

In Sri Lanka, only around 3% of the population is fluent in English, even though it’s widely used in business, government, and the growing tourism industry. English proficiency can significantly improve students’ future job prospects and open new opportunities. You’ll assist a local teacher in the classroom, with the chance to lead your own lessons at an elementary or secondary school. You may also have the opportunity to teach young monks at a temple school.

You’ll live and work in coastal towns within a two-hour journey from Colombo, staying with a welcoming local host family. We encourage you to explore all the natural beauty, culture, and warm hospitality that Sri Lanka has to offer!
